Enjoy some seriously spooky ghost stories while gliding about downtown San Antonio on a Segway. This 2 hour experience allows you to cover a lot more ground than with a walking tour. You'll be feeling the breeze on your Segway while simultaneously checking out main landmarks by night. Roll by well-known historically haunted sites such as the Alamo, the Emily Morgan hotel, the Menger hotel, a former jail (you won't believe what it is now) and the sites of a yet unsolved grisly murder mystery. Never rode a Segway, no problem! A tour guide will train you and have you cruising through downtown in no time.

Arrive about 15 minutes prior to your tour time to get settled in with waivers and helmet selection (included or you may provide your own). Training starts at the tour time. After a brief Segway demonstration by your guide, each rider will get one-on-one training time to master the Segway and then you're off on a ghostly adventure!

You'll discover which two hotels have an eerie connection, figuratively and literally, and most importantly learn about their unsolved murder mystery that remains to this day. Next up, see a former jail house which actually used to have hangings! You'll never believe what it is now. Cruise over to a park for some Segway playtime, you'll be surprised to hear what this site was formerly used for.

Learn about the mysterious happenings at the Spanish Governor's Palace, a historic site as well. Wrap up the tour at Alamo Plaza, home to the infamous battle of the Alamo. The Alamo is now flanked by two historic hotels, well known for their paranormal activity; the Emily Morgan and the Menger hotel. After discovering what makes these two so creepy cool you'll end the tour back at the departure location at the shop.

Enjoy a 1.5-hour guided Segway tour sightseeing downtown San Antonio while uncovering the haunted sites and landmarks of the city. Learn about historic events that took place in various haunted hotels and other sites, as well as modern-day tales of paranormal activity. Just the stuff of legends or something more? You be the judge! Knowledgeable guides train riders on basic Segway operation before embarking on an expertly narrated tour, making this a must for fun things to do in San Antonio and the perfect Halloween activity!

You will meet your guide in downtown San Antonio and begin with a safety orientation on operating the segway. You'll glide glide on down to Travis Park for some free-ride time to get acclimated to the segway. You'll make your way to St. Anthony, a historic but recently renovated hotel that was linked to a famous unsolved grisly murder many years ago.

You'll then cruise over to historic Houston St., home to the beautiful Majestic Theater. Here you'll see the Gunther Hotel, which has close ties with the St. Anthony's past and is where Jazz musician Robert Johnson first recorded his seemingly otherwordly sounds.

Afterward, you'll make your way to Alamo Plaza and the Alamo itself, the site of the bloody battle in 1836 and sacred landmark in Texas. From here, you'll spot the Emily Morgan hotel; formerly a hospital, there have been countless haunting tales. This hotel is said to have as many as 32 known entities that haunt the premises, some of which are attributed to past guests, including Teddy Roosevelt.

The best sightseeing available in downtown San Antonio is on a Segway! Cruise major landmarks and sites such as historic Houston St., Main Plaza, La Villita, the Alamo and more. Meet up is conveniently close the Alamo Plaza area in the heart of downtown. After a brief Segway demonstration and one-on-one training you'll be on your way. An expert guide will lead the group throughout downtown San Antonio and provide commentary at various historic sites as well as find an open area to allow riders to play on their Segways.

Tour starts off with a brief training session at our store across from the Alamo Plaza area behind the San Antonio Visitor's information center. A guide will demonstrate how to operate a Segway and give safety tips to all riders before having each riders practice individually.

Once all riders all ready to go the tour embarks by riding over to Travis Park for some play time in open areas. Following free ride the route continues along historic Houston Street. Here you can observe various historic buildings once part of the historic theater district including the Majestic theater and have the opportunity to overlook the San Antonio riverwalk. Next the tour continues to Main Plaza, home to the San Fernando Cathedral and the Bexar county court house, among other municipal buildings.

From here the route goes into La Villita, a historic arts village. La Villita is home to a unique outdoor theater, the Arneson, which overlooks the riverwalk. Many unique shops and structures are located in La Villita, which is the site of various festivals throughout the year. Across the street is Hemisfair Park, home to the Tower of the Americas and built for the World's Fair in 1968. The last stop on the tour is the Alamo, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the 5 missions in San Antonio.

Routes and order of stops may be modified at the guides discretion due to construction, festivals, or other unforeseen events in the downtown area. (For example free ride time may be moved to a less busy park later along the route.)  All riders must wear a helmet and sign a liability waiver in order to participate  in the tour.
